Built for SPF, SAF, auxiliary police, and licensed security operators.
The first duty light in the precision series with a programmable user interface.
CONFIGURE IT TO YOUR SOP, NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND
Two dual-stage tail buttons plus a side SET button. Both press stages on each tail button are independently programmable.
Set Tactical Grip for response and entry. Set Duty Grip for shift work and admin tasks. Switch between profiles in seconds.
The flashlight matches your unit's procedure instead of forcing you to learn around it.
POWER YOU CAN COUNT ON THROUGH A FULL SHIFT
The included high-discharge NL2155HPi 21700 cell delivers 5.5Ah at 20A continuous. That's what the M515S LED needs to sustain Turbo and full-burst output without sagging.
100 hours of runtime at the 15-lumen Low setting handles overnight posts and extended operations. Battery is user-replaceable.
BUILT TO TAKE HITS
CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminium alloy, the same series used in aerospace structural work. HA III hard-anodised finish stands up to scratching.
IP68 dust and water rating, 2-meter submersion handling, 2-meter impact resistance. Six high-wear parts reinforced with stainless steel.
The integrated ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) module monitors heat during sustained Turbo and full-burst output, easing back power gradually instead of cutting out abruptly.
COMPACT WHERE IT MATTERS
143mm long, 32mm head diameter, 124g without battery. Fits a standard duty belt holster and sits comfortably in a uniform pocket.
Status indicators on the side can be turned off when light signature matters.
WHY THE P27iX EARNS A SPOT IN YOUR DUTY KIT
Pure White Light Across Every Level
Duv below 0.005 means the beam stays neutral and true at every output, from 15-lumen Low to full burst. No green tint at lower outputs, no yellow shift at peak power. Subject identification stays accurate under any brightness.
2nd Generation STROBE READY!™
Most strobe modes flash at a fixed frequency, which the eye learns to filter within seconds. The P27iX strobe randomly varies between 16Hz and 20Hz, so the disorientation effect stays effective for longer.
Tested To International Duty Standards
Output, runtime, throw, and intensity all tested per ANSI/PLATO FL 1-2019 — the international flashlight testing standard. Spec sheet numbers are field numbers, tested at 26°C using the included i-series battery.
Stealth-Mode Indicators
The four-LED output and four-LED battery indicators on the side can both be disabled. When light signature matters, the flashlight goes dark on its own status lights without losing functionality.
Three beam patterns. Match the beam to the operation.
LONG-THROW LIGHT
At 1,500-lumen Turbo, projects to 302 meters. The central high-density LED core does the work, pushing a focused beam for perimeter overwatch, vehicle interception at distance, and target identification beyond standard duty light range.
FLOODLIGHT
Roughly a 115° illumination angle. The four peripheral flood cores spread light evenly across your immediate surroundings. Indoor sweeps, stairwell clearance, vehicle interior checks.
MIXED LIGHT
Both core types active at once. 1,500-lumen Turbo reaches 251 meters with a wide ~115° spread. Scan a large area and still pick out detail at range. The default beam for foot patrol and general response work.
Switch between patterns through the side SET button. The flashlight remembers your last-used pattern.
Anti-grab design. Always in hand, always in control.
The angled rear control surface keeps your thumb on both tail buttons at once. Switch between momentary illumination and sustained output without re-gripping or moving your thumb.
A conventional flashlight forces you to break grip every time you change function. That leaves the palm exposed and the body vulnerable to being knocked or grabbed during high-intensity contact.
The P27iX keeps the flashlight locked in your hand through every press transition. The curved profile and stainless-steel button inserts hold up to gloved use, vehicle door slams, and quick draws from a duty holster.
Four customisable settings. Map the controls to your habits.
Both press stages on the Tail Button and the Engage Button are independently configurable. That's four distinct presses on the rear of the flashlight, each one assignable to a brightness level or special mode.
TAIL BUTTON
Half-press: Low or Mid (your choice). Full-press: High or Turbo (your choice). Use it like a two-stage trigger for brightness selection.
ENGAGE BUTTON
Half-press and full-press each independently configurable for instant access to LUMIN SHIELD®, STROBE, or SEARCH. No menu cycling.
Set the configuration once. The flashlight behaves the same way every time you reach for it.
M515S LED. Twenty cores in an X-shaped array.
Self-developed by NiteLab. Four 5-core groups packed into one diagonally symmetric package.
The central core handles long-throw with high luminous density. The four peripheral cores handle flood with high efficiency. Power gets allocated across the cores based on which beam pattern you select.
Cores are spaced just 0.6mm apart, compared to 0.9mm in the previous-generation UHi 20 MAX. Tighter spacing means a more uniform hotspot and smoother beam transitions.
A micro-textured orange-peel reflector around the LEDs softens the edge between hotspot and spill, so the beam transitions cleanly without harsh rings.
Pure white light at every level. Duv below 0.005.
Most flashlight LEDs shift colour temperature as output changes. Run them at low brightness and you get a green tint. Run them at full power and they shift yellow.
The M515S holds Duv below 0.005 across every brightness level — the standard for "pure white" tint that closely matches natural daylight.
For duty use that matters when subject identification, evidence assessment, or vehicle interior checks depend on accurate colour rendering. What you see is what's actually there, regardless of brightness setting.
5,000-lumen LUMIN SHIELD®. Maximum coverage on demand.
One press, every LED core fires at full power. The result is a 5,000-lumen wide-spread burst that reaches 300 meters at 22,500 candela.
Built for outdoor situations where you need maximum coverage immediately: vehicle stops at distance, large outdoor areas during a foot pursuit, perimeter sweeps after an alarm activation.
LUMIN SHIELD® lives on the engage button by default in Tactical Grip mode. Re-map it to whichever press configuration matches your unit's procedure.
2,500-lumen SEARCH mode. 430 meters of focused reach.
SEARCH mode dedicates power to the central long-throw core. Tight, concentrated beam that reaches 430 meters at 46,320 candela of peak intensity.
That's beyond the effective range of most service-issued duty lights, on a flashlight that fits a standard belt holster.
For perimeter overwatch, vehicle interception, treeline scanning during patrol, and target identification at distance. Activates from the engage button in Tactical Grip mode and is fully re-mappable.
Random STROBE. One-handed activation.
The strobe varies its flash rate randomly between 16Hz and 20Hz.
Random timing matters operationally: a fixed-frequency strobe lets the eye adapt within a few seconds, but a varying one keeps the disorientation effect working through the contact window.
One-handed activation through the engage button means you can deploy the strobe without breaking your grip or repositioning your thumb. Buys you time and distance before contact.
Patented Rapid Lock™ slide lockout.
A physical slide switch on the body disables every button. Slide it to the lock position and the flashlight cannot be turned on, even if buttons get pressed inside an assault pack, plate carrier pouch, or duty bag.
Slide it back to unlock and you're live in under a second. No multi-click sequences, no accidental activation eating your battery before you need the light.
Patented in the US, EU, and China — a Nitecore-exclusive solution rather than a borrowed one.
Six high-wear parts in stainless steel.
The parts that take the most contact in daily use — Tail Button, Engage Button, SET Button, Strike Bezel, Lockout Switch, and USB-C Port Cover — are reinforced with stainless steel rather than plastic or coated aluminium.
These are the components that wear out first on a conventional duty light. Buttons get pushed thousands of times per shift. Strike bezels make contact with hard surfaces. Port covers flex open and shut every charge cycle.
Stainless steel handles those load cycles for the life of the flashlight body itself.
5,500mAh of dedicated power. 18W of USB-C charging.
The included NL2155HPi 21700 cell delivers 5.5Ah at 3.6V (19.8Wh) with a 20A continuous discharge rating. That's the high-current battery the M515S LED needs for sustained Turbo and full-burst operation.
100 hours at the 15-lumen Low setting handles overnight posts. The battery is user-replaceable for shift handovers and extended operations.
FAST CHARGING
18W USB-C input through a PD or QC adapter brings the flashlight from empty to full in around 2 hours. Around 3 hours through a standard 5V/2A source.
CR123 BACKUP
The included magazine accepts 2× CR123 or RCR123 cells for environments where USB charging isn't reliable. Output is capped at 1,000 lumens to protect non-rechargeable cells from over-discharge.
FOR EVERY OPERATIONAL ROLE
Tactical Grip Mode
For response and entry. Half-press for Low/Mid, full-press for High/Turbo, engage button straight to LUMIN SHIELD®, STROBE, or SEARCH.
Duty Grip Mode
For shift work and admin tasks. Cycles through four standard brightness levels plus warning flash. Easy on the thumb during long shifts.
Field Operations
CR123 backup for environments without reliable USB charging. 100 hours at Low for extended deployments. IP68 sealing handles tropical weather.
Compact Carry
143mm and 124g without battery. Fits standard duty belt holsters and uniform pockets. Indicators disable for low-visibility posts.

Runtime stays the same regardless of beam pattern (same lumens, same battery drain). Long-throw concentrates the beam through the central core for maximum reach. Floodlight spreads the same lumens across ~115° for wide-area coverage. Mixed Light combines both characteristics. LUMIN SHIELD® and SEARCH have fixed beam patterns and aren't affected by this setting.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use the flashlight while it's charging?
Yes — for standard brightness levels (Low, Mid, High, Turbo) and Warning Flash. LUMIN SHIELD®, SEARCH, and STROBE are disabled during charging because they exceed safe simultaneous-draw thresholds. Useful when you need to top up between shifts but want light available.
How will I know when the battery is running low?
Below 10% capacity, the battery indicator on the side flashes green and output may dim. The four-LED indicator system shows precise capacity in 25% increments (4 LEDs steady = 75-100%, down to 1 LED flashing = below 10%). At full capacity, all four LEDs stay solid green.
Does the flashlight remember my last brightness and beam pattern?
Yes, in Professional Mode. The flashlight stores your last-used brightness level and beam pattern, and reactivates with the same settings next time you turn it on. Each brightness level can also memorise its own beam pattern (Turbo with Long-throw, Mid with Floodlight, etc.) so you don't have to switch every time.
Why does the flashlight dim during sustained Turbo use?
The integrated ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) module monitors internal temperature during sustained high-output use and reduces output gradually to prevent overheating. This protects the LED and electronics from damage during extended Turbo or LUMIN SHIELD® bursts. Output recovers automatically once the body cools, and you can re-trigger LUMIN SHIELD®, SEARCH, or STROBE at any time to override.

This is my edc flashlight, love having more than one button to control de light, love the instant turbo and strobe, plenty bright, works great for home defense at night, is also very compact for its seize and power, little bit pricey for you get great build quality
The day I received this small tool, there was a power failure in my area that very night. It turned out to be incredibly powerful—once I switched it on, it lit up my entire living room. I really like it.
Nitecore, once again releases a premium product. This is feature packed with a lot of flexibility in how you control your flashlight. Before I get to it all of the features, let me talk about the build quality. This is a all metal construction. Even the buttons have been swapped from their older models from a silicone to a metal one instead. The flashlight is hefty, and the threading to access the battery is smooth and tight, to make sure it keeps the battery compartment safe. The flashlight is designed to be held Nitecore calls it tactical and duty methods. The tactical method is where you hold it with your thumb on the back of the flashlight. There are two buttons on the back. One is default set to the boost and "Lumishield" strobe, meant to blind and disorient whoever you pointed at. At these settings, the flashlight outputs a blinding 5000 lumen. The other thumb button can be used as a toggle on and off, if you tap it, or a push to hold on and release button. Both of these thumb buttons have a half and a full press. The other button available on this flashlight is if you are doing the "duty" hold. This button steps through multiple brightnesses when you tap, or adjusts the light output style if you hold it. For example, you have a spot, mixed, and flood light option. This is done by changing the LED array output. It's not a perfect solution, but it's easier than a mechanical rotation of the lens. There is quite a bit of detail that we can get into regarding adjusting what your default and saved settings are when using each of your buttons, but I will let the instruction manual be that guide.Next I will get into other features that this has. This comes with a MOLLE holster that you can easily clip the flashlight in and out of. There is a metal clip that can be used from the top or the bottom, but this is a little tougher to remove unlike the MOLLE holster that is meant to be quick. They also provide a lanyard that is actually a USB-C cord. It is a very well braided cord that tucks into a plastic sheath, and as a result, you get a wrist lanyard. Where the light is output. You also have three small spheres that are meant to be able to assist with breaking windows. I obviously haven't tested it out, but I trust them. They also pack in a battery adapter that allows you to use smaller batteries. One thing to know is that you have to use their proprietary batteries. And that is because of the required amperage output. The battery that comes with this flashlight outputs at 20 amps. That is required to produce the 5000 lumens for 90 seconds. (the boost mode produces quite a bit of heat, which is why it is limited to 90 seconds.) You can also buy additional batteries from their online store for about 25 US Dollars. Unless you intend on using the flashlight in long stints without any access to charge it, the USBC port is suitable enough, considering they also support fast power delivery charging.Lastly, just like other Nitecore products, you have access to different accessories, like different colored diffusers. This goes well with their "alert" strobe setting. This is their final setting that they have available, that strobes their light at a much slower frequency, and lower lumen output, meant to alert those around you of your presence.Overall, this is an awesome product and is a great step up from some of their previous models. Obviously at this price point it is well in the "premium" territory of products, but you can know for sure that you will be getting a quality product.
Here is a note pre flashlight. This thing is build very heavy dusty and feels quite hefty and well made. It has 3 models which is strobe, low, and high. It comes with instructions in the box and the packaging is very nice and of good quality as well. The light functions by two switches on the back. On the back facing button a short press will active the low mode, all the way will activate bright and double tap strobe. There’s another button on the back that goes just between high when slightly depressed and strobe if depressed all the way. It is also rechargeable and comes with a charging cable and a few different styles of a belt clip. It does heat up if on for extended times so be careful as it can get a little warm on the end. It also has different beam patters ranging from flood, spot light, and both, and claims to be 5000 lumens, which it is VERY bright but to my eyes looks more like 2000. Overall iits very well build and a quality light. I think if you’re looking for a very heavy duty light this would make a great option and be something to consider given the value. I’d compare it to one of the nicer streamlights for sure.
OMG Brightness Level! Seriously, this thing, with its very high current battery, is AT or nearly at the max current-flow~brightness possible from such a compact device. It gets hot. FAST. The light is so bright that it will burn skin if you put the head of the light directly against your skin (*don't try this at home, folks!). Epic power output.physical quality is top notch. The charge port door is a flip up metal door rather than a rubber door [which is nice], the switch gear and threaded elements are high end. I didn't test the aluminum for alloy composition but it doesn't feel soft [maybe its 7075 or similar] the machining and finish are great. I've no idea of the internals or solid state bits. All in all, this thing is full BOSS mode.very compact about 3/5 to half the size of an old fashioned 2 D-cell battery flashlight many of us grew up with. Easily fits on a belt or in a purse.while the controls are complex, their layout [the User Interface, I suppose] is very well thought out, so much so that the User Experience is intuitive and fast, does not require looking at it, and let's you harness the unbelievable power coming out of this beast.if you're just a hobbies flashlight guy [I mean, who isn't?] Then this thing is expensive! But if you work security, are a cop, military operator, emergency responder of any sort, or have need for a seriously bright and stun-enabling light, then this beasty is a bargain. Seriously, I'm surprised this doesn't have a remote actuation switch port and a picatinny rail mount..This has low power, map-reading mode, a few levels of brightness, and a full-brightness strobe that will visually stun a late night intruder ...easily.It comes with a legit professional belt mount and a compact clip, as well as a spare o-ring and a charge cable that doubles as a lanyard. It uses USB-C. Unfortunately it does not include a storage case, even a small one to hold the spare parts.. also, it would be handy if they could figure out a way to stow the spare o-ring inside the bottom cap.I don't know how good their support is, I haven't tested it however, I did contact them to inquire about how to obtain replacement/spare batteries [it is a special, and *high strung* unit] about a week ago and so far ...zero response. They loose a star for that.4 stars of five, if they respond ill bump this to 5 stars.
I’ve finally received my Nitecore P27iX, and I’m honestly blown away by how powerful and well-built it is. I never imagined I would own a flashlight like this, especially one that was given to me through your giveaway. Thank you so much for your generosity and for making this possible. This flashlight will be my new everyday companion, and I truly appreciate the opportunity. Wishing you continued success and more blessings so you can keep making people happy through giveaways like this!
I picked up the Nitecore P27iX because I needed a solid, high-output light for EDC and some outdoor stuff. I've gone through a handful of different lights over the years, and my biggest pet peeve is having to click through five different modes just to get the brightness I actually want. This one looked like a solid solution with the customizable dual switch setup.Pros:• The dual switch is awesome since you can set your outputs and jump straight to what you need without cycling through an SOS mode.• It's crazy bright at 5000 lumens and being able to adjust the beam from a tight spot to a wide flood makes it really handy for different situations.• It charges via USB-C and comes with a solid tactical holster and pocket clip right out of the box so you don't have to hunt down accessories.Cons:• Pushing 5000 lumens out of a handheld light generates a ton of heat, so the head warms up pretty quickly on the max setting.• It carries great on a belt with the included holster, but it might be slightly too bulky if you just want to throw it deep in your front pocket.Overall, it’s a really well built piece of gear. If you need something for the range, keeping in the truck, or just a heavy duty EDC light that gives you actual control over the output, it's definitely worth the money.
I bought my first light MH12 in 2014 and I'm still using it. This P27iX is my second and this is the best and is everything I ever needed. Can't stop playing with it. It's beautiful too.👍
This light is stupid bright, compact, and lightweight. I carry it literally everywhere I go. I use it for construction work, and in Asset Recovery/Bail Enforcement. Its been dropped more times than I can count. Its been well used and put to the test of the elements, and I havent had a single problem out of it. The batteries are of top quality, and seem to power this light forever. It would be better if you could stand it up on the tail cap without it falling over, but that is literally my only complaint. I love this light, but the price still seemed a bit high.
Bright enough to be used in a self-defence situation, with the UV lights having just the right amount of throw to be really useful as a personal-issue investigative tool, this is the ideal balance between form and function. Although it is unable to stand due to the tactical switch, the included holster serves as a very convenient solution and tail-stands extremely well. Was caught in a power failure recently, and this method effectively lit up the room!
Love the solid build and feel of the flashlight. It feels sturdy and handles well, especially with the ring loop. Super bright light as well and strobe mode is a breeze to trigger. Definitely a part of my EDC gear.
My first nitecore purchase. Never fail to impress me. Every item is solid and of high quality. Do note that the tip of the torch does get really hot when in turbo mode (within a min of usage). Also, I was able to bring along P20IUV and the tactical pen for traveling (to nearby Asian countries). It was placed in my carry-on luggage. The officer did detect the metal and asked to show. I simply replied “oh it’s a torch” and they allowed me to pass through. Tips: if you’re traveling with a female companion, best to let them carry the torch because they look more “innocent” when they say it’s a torch XD. Battery was in the torch, did not bring loose ones. Hope this review is useful to whoever wants to travel. Overall, it’s a great purchase and essential to have! Thanks MJ for the videos he made - it really helps to analyse what item I really need. Good job!
Very powerful torchlight especially the strobe mode. I hope the uv can be improved as the intensity literally lose to tiki uv. If it can match tiki uv it will be a awesome all rounder function. In addition, I hope there can be a additional mode of 1000 lumens as the second highest for better illumination and battery saving instead of using the full 1800 lumens if the mid of 250 lumens isn't enough to shine.
So far no issues encountered! Very satisfied with my purchases! Had traveled recently to Kota Kinabalu and used the light extensively during the mountain area at night. An absolute recommendation.
