How do I switch colour temperature?
Press the mode and power buttons together to cycle through 3000K warm, 4500K neutral and 6500K cool. The OLED shows the current setting, and the light remembers your choice for next time.
Is the battery replaceable?
The 330mAh cell is built in and recharges over USB-C, which is what keeps the TINI 3 down to 20g with no battery tube. Charge it from any USB-C source, including a power bank, and use it while it charges.
What is the difference between semi and full lockout?
Semi lockout disables the everyday buttons while keeping turbo available, so the light is safe in a pocket yet ready for instant use. Full lockout disables both buttons for storage or travel. The OLED shows which mode is active.

The Nitecore TINI 3 is an amazingly convenient and very bright keychain-sized flashlight. It packs a lot of punch for such a small size and can be carried discreetly everywhere because it’s about the size of the fob part of my Honda car key.This product has an anodized aluminum casing, which will scratch over time in every color, and that’s why I chose the grey model. Since I keep this light on my keychain, grey will probably show the least amount of contrasting scratches. Other than cosmetic wear, I would say it’s fairly durable, though not invincible to damage.It’s not submersible because of the IPS4 rating. This means it can get wet, but shouldn’t be submerged, so don’t go jumping into a swimming pool with it.The battery life is very good for such a small light, and it communicates your remaining runtime well depending on the brightness level selected. As the battery gets closer to 0%, brightness is reduced on higher settings. However, you can use the flashlight while it’s plugged into a charger without draining the battery further.Choosing your color temperature is a great addition. You can choose between neutral, warm, and cool settings. The neutral setting will probably be the most used. The warm setting gives off an amber hue that’s pleasant on the eyes, similar to an indoor light bulb. The cool setting delivers the bright white LED look for when you need maximum visibility. I would only recommend using TURBO mode in short bursts because the unit gets fairly warm and can’t sustain that brightness for too long.If you carry it in your pocket or places where the buttons may get pressed, use the Full Lockout mode 2. Lockout 1 allows a button hold for TURBO and you will hit this, draining the battery unintentionally.I do have one minor gripe, and it’s because I own the previous Nitecore TINI 2 Titanium model. The titanium version is more durable, but that isn’t my complaint. The TINI 3 tells you when it needs charging, but you must actively press the menu button to check the battery status. On the TINI 2, the power button would blink blue when the battery was low, grabbing your attention and letting you know it was time to charge. It was a great feature that didn’t make it to the TINI 3.If I could make one suggestion to Nitecore, it would be to allow the OLED screen or power button to briefly flash every 10–30 seconds when the battery drops below 20–10%.I think I understand why this feature was omitted. The TINI 3 instruction manual mentions “Advanced Power Cut-Off (APC) technology for ultra-low standby power consumption,” which allows Nitecore to claim up to 12 months of standby battery life when fully charged and not in use. That’s great for people who want to store it in an emergency or survival kit for long periods without touching it.However, I believe most people buying this flashlight will attach it to a keychain, backpack, or purse and use it regularly for short periods throughout the week. Those users benefit more from active low-battery reminders because frequent use increases the chance of unexpectedly finding the light dead when needed.Nitecore may have solved this by allowing users to toggle a low-battery alert feature on or off depending on how you intend to use the flashlight. That way, survival-kit users could maximize standby efficiency, while everyday carry users could still benefit from low-battery notifications.If this flashlight had retained some kind of flashing low-battery indicator using either the power button or OLED screen, I would have given it 5 stars. Because of this missing quality-of-life feature, I can only give it 4 stars. It was a feature that set the TINI 2 apart. Overall, I still highly recommend it. A 5-Star product but only a 4-star rating because the focus of who is using the TINI 3 from Nitecore seems to be a bit off path.

Normally I'll just use 65 lumens or less so this keychain light is overkill. But for the size it is excellent 👍🏻

Greatest Little Flashlight EVER.THE DIGITAL READOUT is fantastic
This is a very bright flashlight, it's able to easily light up even a fairly large room when turned on to boost mode.It's also extremely small which is a big bonus! Easily able to put it on your key chain and forget about it until you need it.It has 3 modes for different weather conditions and different desires, They are warm, mid-warm, and white light respectively.I personally leave it on Warm most of the time, since it makes it feel a lot nicer on the eyes for me.When you have it on the max brightness of 600 Lumens it's able to have a run time of about 20 minutes. It doesn't sound like much, but you hardly ever need it to be that bright. I usually have it at 65 to 15 Lumens when doing things outside and those modes have a run time of 3 and 8 Hours respectively.It seems to be decently durable, as I mentioned I have mostly used it outdoors at night. So far the paint hasn't chipped off or gotten scratched by the keys that it's attached to, though that very well may change with time.Over all a very small versatile key chain light! If you're looking for a light that's much brighter than your phone light but don't want to carry a large flashlight in your pocket this is a great option!
I've had this tiny flashlight for a couple of weeks. I really like it's size, weight, and capabilities. It's size and weight are not prohibitive. [Please see the attached picture. For reference I only have medium-sized hands.] It's marketed as a Keychain flashlight and performs admirably with easy-to-use intuitive controls. I really like the contrasting color versus let's say black. My keys are now a bit more easily spotted laying in or on a vehicle console.
This is by far the best flashlight money can buy. The brightness is incredible with a 600 lumen turbo, and it's not a short burst like other Nitecore lights. You can turbo for 10 minutes straight without it thermal throttling. It is really hard to explain how tiny this light really is. It fits really well onto a key chain, and its large battery (or really effervescent LEDs, whatever you want to credit) means you don't need to charge it all that much. It works great for reading at night with the 1 lumen ultra-low and warm light. Turn it on 200 lumens, and you can walk your dog in what would be pitch black.
I used the Nitecore TINI 3 as one of my everyday essential tools on my motorbike. Just in case I need it if the situation arise. What I like about It is because of the size. Small, portable & sleek looking. Easy to carry around.

I have 3 pieces of TINI 3 (orange) torchlight to go with my car key, my hiking bag and for my wife. It is very light and convenient to carry along. It is very useful to have varying degree of light for different light conditions. It has one useful feature ie semi and full lock so that it will not be accidentally switch on. the battery life is very good and depending on which degree of light, it can last from 1 hrs to 85hrs. thanks so much for this innovative and useful product.
The torch is so small and portable but delivers superb brightness in any situation with a push of the button. It has 3 variations of the brightness and the LED screen displays the mode clearly.
