Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - three white colour temperatures from dual primary LEDs - Nitecore Singapore

Three white colour temperatures, one button to switch them

WARM, NEUTRAL OR COOL ON DEMAND - The MCT (Multiple Colour Temperatures) system gives you 3000K warm light that cuts through fog and rain without glare, 4500K neutral white for general trail use, and 6500K cool white for striking long-distance clarity on a fast descent. Each temperature comes from dedicated LEDs in both primary lights, so you keep full brightness when you change the tone.

A SINGLE MODE BUTTON - Tap the MODE button to move between colour temperatures while you keep moving. There is no menu to dive into and nothing to relearn at 3am, which matters when your hands are cold and your eyes are on the trail.

BUILT AROUND TWO PRIMARY LIGHTS - Both primary LEDs carry all three colour temperatures, giving an even, wide spread rather than a single hot spot. That broad field is what keeps peripheral footing visible when you are running technical ground.

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - 47 gram all-round lightweight design with headband and hollow bracket - Nitecore Singapore

47 grams complete, headband and all

WEIGHED WITH EVERYTHING ON - The 47g figure is the whole system: light, built-in battery, hollow bracket and headband together. For context, a single 18650 cell weighs around 45g on its own, so the entire NU25 MCT UL adds barely two grams more than one spare battery. Ultralight hikers counting every gram get real output without the penalty.

BUILT TO VANISH ON A RUN - The ultralight headband and hollow bracket keep mass low and balanced at the front, so there is little to bounce when you pick up the pace. After the first kilometre most runners stop noticing it is there.

PC HOUSING THAT TAKES A KNOCK - The PC construction is impact resistant to 1 metre, covering the drops that happen when you are fumbling with gear in the dark, while keeping the weight down where it counts.

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens reaching 132 metres with TrueVision optical lens - Nitecore Singapore

400 lumens reaching 132 metres ahead

ENOUGH REACH FOR TECHNICAL GROUND - On High the NU25 MCT UL puts out 400 lumens and throws 132 metres, far enough to read a technical descent or pick a line off-trail before you commit to it. Peak intensity is 4,351cd, so the centre of the beam stays useful at distance.

A WIDE, EVEN FIELD - The TrueVision optical matrix lens passes over 94% of the light it collects across a wide beam, lighting your feet and your peripheral vision at the same time rather than punching one narrow spot. That spread is what keeps you sure-footed at speed.

STEP DOWN AND STRETCH THE RUNTIME - Drop to 200-lumen Mid for five hours, 60-lumen Low for thirteen hours, or 6-lumen Ultralow for forty-five hours. The light holds back automatically when it warms up, so output stays steady through a long session.

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - dual button interface with power, mode and lockout - Nitecore Singapore

Two buttons you can run by feel

SHAPED FOR GLOVED HANDS - The Power and MODE buttons differ in shape and texture, so you can find the right one without looking, even in thick winter gloves. Power handles on, off and brightness. MODE switches colour temperature. One-handed operation is the whole point.

LOCKOUT FOR THE PACK - Hold both buttons for two seconds to lock the light, so it cannot switch on and drain inside your bag between sessions. Hold again to wake it.

RUNTIME AT A GLANCE - Press MODE while the light is off and the power indicator shows your level: four lights for 75 to 100%, down to one light below 25% when it is time to charge. The display holds for two seconds, then clears to save power.

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - 6 lumen ultralow and red night light modes - Nitecore Singapore

Red light and a true ultralow for the quiet hours

RED WITHOUT CYCLING THROUGH WHITE - The red light is its own mode, reached directly rather than by scrolling past bright white that wrecks your dark adaptation. Run it for map reading, stargazing or moving quietly around a sleeping camp. Red High runs 10 hours, Red Low holds 26 hours, and a red flashing mode is there to mark yourself at night.

6 LUMENS THAT LAST 45 HOURS - Ultralow gives a gentle 6 lumens for up to 45 hours, plenty for reading in the tent, finding the zip at 3am, or stretching the battery across several nights between charges.

A SOFT CAMP LANTERN IN THE BOX - Slip the included diffusing stuff sack over the lamp and the spot beam becomes even area light for the tent or table. When you pack up, the same sack stows and protects the headlamp.

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - reflective and glow-in-the-dark headband for night visibility - Nitecore Singapore

A headband that helps drivers see you

REFLECTIVE AND GLOW-IN-THE-DARK - The headband is woven with reflective thread and a glow-in-the-dark strand, so headlights pick you up from the side and you stay visible even when the lamp is off. On a dark road or trailhead it is one more way of being seen.

STAYS PUT WHEN YOU MOVE - The adjustable band locks to your head size and holds the light steady through a run, a scramble or a fast hike, so the beam tracks where you are looking instead of bouncing.

WASHED OUT AND BACK IN - The light lifts off the bracket, so the band can be rinsed after a sweaty summer effort and refitted in seconds.

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - IP66 weather and dust resistance in rain - Nitecore Singapore

Rated for rain, dust and the odd drop

IP66 WEATHER AND DUST RESISTANCE - The IP66 rating means the NU25 MCT UL shrugs off sustained rain, sweat and powerful water jets, as well as wind-blown trail dust. You can keep moving through a downpour rather than packing the light away.

IMPACT RESISTANT TO 1 METRE - The PC housing is rated to survive a 1-metre drop onto a hard surface, which covers the fumbles that happen in the cold and dark.

READY FOR A COLD START - With the battery sealed inside and USB-C charging, there are no loose cells to manage at a pre-dawn alpine start. Charge it the night before and it is ready when you are.

WHY THE NU25 MCT UL OVER A GENERIC HEADLAMP

Three Colour Temperatures, No Output Loss

Most headlamps give you one fixed white. This one switches between 3000K, 4500K and 6500K from dedicated LEDs, so you match the light to fog, trail or distance without dimming the beam.

Real Output At Ultralight Weight

Many sub-50g headlamps trade away brightness. The NU25 MCT UL holds 400 lumens and 132 metres of throw at just 47g complete, so you carry less without lighting less.

Nothing To Charge Separately

No proprietary cells to hunt down and no charger to pack. The sealed 700mAh battery tops up over USB-C from the same power bank as your phone, with a four-light gauge showing what is left.

A Camp Lantern In The Box

The included diffusing stuff sack slips over the lamp and turns the spot beam into soft, even area light for the tent or table, then stows the headlamp when you pack up.

WHERE THE NU25 MCT UL EARNS ITS PLACE

Nitecore NU25 MCT UL - camping, outdoor adventures, trekking and night running - Nitecore Singapore
Trail & Ultra Running

47g that stays bounce-free at speed, 400 lumens for technical descents, and a red rear flash so drivers and runners behind you know you are there.

Ultralight Hiking

Barely two grams more than a single spare cell, with 132 metres of throw for route finding and a USB-C charge from your phone bank.

Camping

The diffuser sack makes a soft tent lantern, Ultralow runs 45 hours, and red mode keeps the camp dark-adapted on a midnight wander.

Travel & Everyday

Light enough to live in a daypack, recharges over the same USB-C cable you already carry, and locks out so it never drains in transit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use the headlamp while it is charging?

The built-in 700mAh battery recharges over the USB-C port. For a long, stationary task you can run it from a connected USB power bank, though for running and hiking most people simply charge it the night before and head out on a full battery.

Does it have a high-CRI or colour-rendering rating?

The NU25 MCT UL uses an MCT system, which means three selectable white colour temperatures (3000K, 4500K and 6500K) rather than a single published CRI figure. The warm 3000K setting renders trail detail naturally and cuts glare in fog and rain, while the cool 6500K gives the most contrast at distance.

Can I reach the red light without cycling through bright white first?

Yes. The red light is a separate mode, so you can switch straight to it without flashing bright white across your eyes. That keeps your night vision intact for map reading, stargazing or moving around a sleeping camp, and the red flashing setting marks your position to traffic behind you.

Delivery is fast and well packaged as usual. Headlamp is very light and customisable strap with an elastic band. The light self has an inbuilt bracket that allows the body to cycle down in steps. This allows you to point the light at your preferred location be it straight ahead or at your feet all without bobbing your head.

Great light!! GREAT customer support with replacement reports available for purchase. Our Beagle chewed the backplate yesterday and I heard form customer service today with a link to purchase replacement part. The actual light was totally unscathed as was the beagle. Works as expected bright and I like the cord headband. If it can survive our beagle it can survive ANYTHING!! Recharges fast to boot!

Customer photo review of NU27 (Black) - 600 lumens

These are my husband's favorite headlamps for everything from running to fishing. We love the rechargeable vs battery feature. Great variety of light settings, very versatile. My husband has had one for 2+ years and we have been very happy with its quality and functionality. We just bought 2 more for my son's, to use fishing, when the sun sets a bit before they can get back to the car. Get these, you won't be disappointed.

Customer photo review of NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

Have used this headlamp for 10+ sunrise hikes and some late night hikes so far. The dimmer white light setting is enough for myself when hiking, and bumping up to a brighter setting one or two other people can get by from my headlamp. The buttons take a little getting used to but work very well and once you learn what they do, are quick to use. Battery life is good but I would recharge it after hikes.Great value for the price since its an affordable unit. Very light as well

Customer photo review of NU25 MCT - 400 lumens

My bar for headlamps is pretty high and this one is pretty good. It has a great light pattern, is lightweight and is comfortable to wear. The only option that it doesn’t have is memory for the last model used. This is a big deal especially when a light has so many options like the color temp and the intensity. I do like that there is a dedicated button for the red light, which you might use in the middle of the night to avoid blinding someone or messing up your night vision. I also really like the battery level test mode. It’s a set of 4 blue lights that come on temporarily when in use.

NU25 MCT - 400 lumens

Customer photo review of NU27 (Black) - 600 lumens

Honestly, this light is fantastic. It does all the things and then someI really like the way that it feels on the forehead and I like the gears in the back more than the nu20 or the nu25. They hold better and work betterThe nu27 crushes in all categories. It's also super super bright!Personally, for me it's too much light and I like the lightweight next to nothing convenience of the nu20 classic so that's the one I chose and that's the one I recommendBut if you need that bigger battery and more output this one is nearly perfect in every way

It evens come in its own white drawstring carrying case for easy transport. This is perfect for camping, night biking or running, hiking and any other outdoor adventures especially since it’s so light and waterproof. There are different brightness levels from neutral white light, warm and then cool white light. It also has auxiliary red lights that can be used to signal for emergency help. It comes with its own black and yellow headband and it is very comfortable to wear around your head. The best feature is that it doesn’t use batteries and can be charged with the included USB charging cable. There are 4 blue light indicators letting you know its battery level. This headlamp is perfect in so many levels that I couldn’t ask for more. I highly recommend this.

NU21 (Black) - 360 lumens

Customer photo review of NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

Apologies in advance for any typos, I accidentally blinded myself with 400 lumens of heavenly brightness before writing this review.Light, easy to use, feature packed. This headlamp has it all. Came in so clutch for camping and also when working on car, motorcycle, and even around the house. I bought two (home and shop) and maybe I'd get a third (moto trip bag).My wife makes fun of me for looking like a dork with a headlamp on. But she insists on keeping the lights off, so this was our compromise. Good time to mention the IP66 water resistance, works as advertised.Nitecore impresses with quality and feature set at a decent price.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

Customer photo review of NU27 (Black) - 600 lumens

Upgraded to this headlamp for the weight and color options. My other headlamp I still use but it's a tank (18650 batt). I've use NU27 on a 4 day backpack trip and it was so light I would forget I was wearing it sometimes. Battery life is great and the neutral color/ yellow is so much better for the eyes and color retention for certain items/tasks. The bad is there is no memory for the light/color options. Everytime it's powerd on it goes to neutral color in low then you will have to cycle through yellow then through white. (low-med-high) If I'm at camp and want a burst of white light i would have to hold to power on then dbl tap for turbo then press the mode button 2x to cycle through the color options to get white. Not an issue to me but just keep that in mind. Also have red lights which is a plus. Also I'm hoping the next gen will have a wider flood/flood option and memory. Other than all of that rambling, this is an amazing headlamp and my favorite right now.

Customer photo review of NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

Useful as an edc, hands-off light. Used it when I was chasing lightning tube inside a dark room.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

Great headlamp overall. It is super lightweight, comfortable to wear, and looks sleek. The easy brightness adjustment and the ability to change the color temperature from cool to warm light is genuinely useful in different conditions. The build quality and materials are top-notch. Very satisfied with this purchase.

NU27 (Black) - 600 lumens

I bought this to go in my backpacking gear. It's super light, and very bright. The SOS function could be useful in case of a backcountry emergency.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

It’s not bad. Not the most comfortable but good for the price.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

I had another bigger branded headlamp with a single button, and I hated it. It was hard to always remember the sequence of presses, long presses, and number of presses to use the thing. This headlamp is simple to use all the features, like very simple. The charge easily lasts well beyond a camping weekend. Couldn't be happier.

NU25 MCT - 400 lumens

Nice and bright, makes it’s easy to move around at night while camping or wherever you need light.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

I’ve had this for nearly two years and use it regularly (camping, traveling, nighttime visits to the chicken coop). Still works as well as on day one. It only needs charging every 2-3 months unless I’m heading out camping.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

Loved my last one, like this one too, would have been 5 stars if the charging port didn’t have the same end on both sides I thought one side would be usb, silly that it is not.

NU25 MCT - 400 lumens

I have used Petzl and Black Diamond headlamps for decades. Looking to lighten my pack and this has not disappointed.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

This headlamp did an incredible job during my recent AT walk. Light weight and simple to use, while being reliable. The headlamp's charge made it throughout the week long heat and humidity with no issues. Headlamp strap is simple but comfortable. I’ll be buying more of these for my Alaska excursions.

NU25 MCT UL - 400 lumens

small and light. and the bungee rope strap is good for sweaty heads

Awesome head lamp this is my second one and first one lasted 2 years
