How do I carry the Wave Alpha?
It ships as the bare tool, sized for pocket or pack. Leatherman pairs it with their quick-release pocket clip, sheaths, sleeves and tool pouches, all sold separately, so you can set up belt or clipped carry the way you like it.
What bits come with it, and can I add more?
The Wave Alpha ships with an eyeglass screwdriver bit for the small driver and a double-ended Phillips #1-2 and 3/16 inch bit for the large driver. It accepts Leatherman's flat double-ended bits, and the Bit Kit, sold separately, adds the common Torx, hex and Phillips sizes.
What happens when the wire cutters wear out?
Both cutters are premium replaceable inserts rather than a machined part of the plier head. When years of cable, zip ties and fencing wire finally dull them, replacement inserts swap in and the tool keeps working.
