Do the knife and tools lock open?
The blade and implements are non-locking, folding the same way as a classic pocket knife. They hold their position in normal use and fold closed when you press them shut, and the scissors hold themselves open on their spring while you cut.
Is a sheath or pouch included?
The Micra ships as the tool alone with its split-ring loop. Leatherman sheaths are sold separately, and most owners simply run it on a key ring or zip pull.
What is different about the coloured models?
The colours are a Cerakote® finish applied over the same 420 stainless frame, while the Stainless Steel model is the bare-metal classic. Every colourway carries the identical 10 tools and specifications.

I was successfully sold on this product after watching like 3 videos about it because I have been wanting a multi tool for a long time now and this seemed perfect! Super small and light weight (its only one Bucky tall!), which I definitely agree with! It fits super nicely on some keys and is probably as lightweight as can be for having so many tools. The winterfog color is so sleek, I'm glad I picked it over black, and I totally recommend it :)) As my first Leatherman, I'm super excited to get some use out of it! A couple of things, though.First impressions only I thought that opening the tool itself is rather stiff. Im not sure if that's intended, I suppose I can see the justification that its tight so it doesnt just open randomly, but it isn't as smooth to open as I thought it would be. The tools inside open fine its really just opening the scissor part that feels a bit stiff. Maybe that will change as I keep using it! I definitely don't think it should be priced at a whopping 50 dollars because I am aware that many competitors are sold for far less than that and just judging on the quality of it right now 50 seems excessive. Its not lost upon me that Leatherman is a well known brand which means that their products will tend to be pricier just for the name itself but just wanted to say!I'll see if my thoughts change the more I use it and am able to test out the tools individually! So far, though a great addition to my keys :D
Great Keychain multi-tool I couldn't find my regular scissors and remember my leathermam has scissors it's really comes handy carrying the leatherman around as a edc. The knife is a plus for me because when using it can't close on you when using it. I had the gerber dime multi-tool and the knife closed on me when using and cut my finger. You won't have that problem with the leatherman. Great design.
Delivered quickly. It is as advertised. Feels like a high-quality product with solid engineering. It's a bit smaller than I envisioned, but that is on me.
AMAZING tool. I do a LOT of embroidery etc and I was looking for a pocket tool up my alley. Being able to trim and file my nails when I catch a snag is a beyond bonus 😂 You MAY have a problem with the scissors...that can easily be solved with wd40 or gun oil etc. But it's beyond well made and I LOVE how it all folds up nicely so there's no issues getting stabbed by anything when I dig around in my purse.
My husband lost his Leatherman multi-tool that he had for years. He was lost without it. So I found this as a replacement for his lost one. He is thrilled. He uses it at least once a day (opening packages, cutting things, etc.).

Was a little nervous about buying this model, but very happy with the tools, compactness, and quality, but then again it is a Leatherman. I lost my regular size Leatherman a year ago hoping it would turn up. Had it for at least 15 years.
Bought it for my wife, who wasn’t sure she had any use for it. She has since found it useful and actually likes it, but did say to use caution as it is sharp. Had to explain that’s kinda the point. I’ve had my Leatherman for years and always found the quality to be first rate.

Has everything you’ll need and nothing you won’t. Scissors and blade are extremely sharp. No single tool on this thing is bad. The Philips head in particular performs shockingly well. The whole thing is incredibly small, smaller than my index finger. Works perfectly as a keychain, and is pretty fast and easy to remove from key ring if you need full dexterity.
I was surprised by how sharp the scissors were. You can remove the key ring and fold in the tab for it making it a regular pocket multi-tool. Great for not carrying a giant multi tool all the time. A bit pricey.
I removed the blade from my Leatherman Micra after having some trouble at a security check. I should have just bought one of these instead. This appears to be a good quality key chain tool which should pass easily though any TSA-type checkpoint. Seems pretty much perfect to me.
I've probably gone through 6 of these. They have saved me many trips to the tool box by just having it in my pocket. I have had one break internally that i need to send in for warranty. The scissors do get dull and I havent found a great way to sharpen. The knife is easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. Highly recommend these for a pocket knife.

It's a "cannot do without" kind of multi tool for any fisherman. It's small, light, well-designed and finished, and the scissors will cut braid cleanly and without effort. I own several; they last years.
