FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can the UV light actually detect?
Nitecore lists five jobs for it: maintenance and leak detection (oil stains and leaks on machinery or under a vehicle), verification of anti-counterfeiting features on banknotes, IDs and documents, inspection of fluorescent labels and markings, hygiene checks for hidden stains and cleaning blind spots, and pet health care by observing skin and fur condition. Start on the lowest of the three levels and step up as the surface needs it.
How do I know how much charge is left?
Four LEDs beside the head show the level. Four constant-on means 76 to 100 percent, three means 51 to 75, two means 26 to 50, and one means 10 to 25. When a single LED flashes the battery is under 10 percent, and it is time to plug in, which you can do while you keep using the light.
Are the runtimes measured with both lights on together?
No. Every figure in the tables is measured from a full charge with only that one light source switched on, so the 200 hour white ultralow and the 11 hour UV level 1 are separate results. Using both sources across a session draws on the same 1,050mAh battery, so plan on less than the sum of the two.
