Is the battery replaceable, and how is it charged?
The 6,000mAh battery is built in and recharges through the onboard USB-C port, so there are no cells to swap. You top it up the way you charge a phone.
How waterproof and tough is it?
The EDC35 is rated IP68, sealed against dust and submersible to 2 metres, and impact resistant to a 2-metre drop, so rain, immersion and knocks are no problem.
Does it hold 5,000 lumens the whole time?
The 5,000-lumen Lumin Shield flood and 3,000-lumen Search spot are high-output modes that step down as the head warms to protect the LEDs. For sustained work, High holds 1,300 lumens for around 4 hours 45 minutes.
