I was very impressed when I received my products. They feel so light but durable and perfect size. I purchased the nest pour over in Sahara, I also purchased and extra lid and rift tumbler kit in orange so. I switch the lanyard and rubber bottom that came with the wild sage rift tumbler and replaced it with the orange one. I took the extra lid(brown) and added it to my vssl tube it screwed on just perfect. Can’t wait to use this setup on my adventures.
The rift tumblers are the best. I live the feel in your hands and the lid is so easy to use. Totally leak proof.
Just got it yesterday. Looks really nice, build quality looks really good as well. Im going to enjoy using it I think. A couple things to add, the lid works great a being leakproof, and since thats its intention, I can still gave 5 stars. If you’re just using it casually where you don’t need that good of a seal, it’s kind of fiddly to use. In order to open or close the lid, you need to use the twist lock. This is a bit of a pain. If it’s wet or your hands are wet (which can happen camping/hiking) it can be tough to open. Again, I realize the priority with this lid is being leakproof, but it’s a bit annoying. I also understand that i can just leave open, but then the tab is sticking out. One thing I dont think I have seen mentioned though, is if you have their other pourover kit, there is one mug lid included in that which fits the Rift mugs. This eliminates all the annoyances I spoke of. You can also just buy that same lid from VSSL if you choose. Around home, I’ll use it that way.

You know the “other brand” . We bought these and are so awesome to use . I am a hvac contractor and am always filling the larger one with coffee , water, juice etc. the non leak lid and rift cord is great! I wouldn’t mind seeing some other colors or combinations. I did put a really cool sticker on my mug however so everyone asks about it and where to get one!
It works and travels as I needed. Was missing the filter, but they’re sending me one. Thankfully I had one from another kit.

These are really awesome mugs, they fit in your hand very comfortably, and I love the padded bottom. They also seal very tightly and the rope attachment is a nice touch for carrying it around with you. They also keep your drink cold (or hot) for a very long time. Highly recommend!
I like it. But be careful how much coffee you add prior to adding the lid. Mine is kind of small. This will do. It is well made and does the job. So, I am good to go.
Great for coffee . Love the locking lid . I even ordered a second one. But I am going to have to order one bigger. 10oz is not big enough for a full cup. But that’s me. Look to order a 16oz.

Love this mug. Was looking for something leak proof that fit in the car cup holder. I have one small issue, not a big deal but a bit annoying. I wear hats daily and the way the lid opens it hits the bill of my hat when drinking. Would love to see a lid with a smaller flap that opens or a different lid option.
Although I have not purchased one of these cups personally. I do have to say this. I was snowboarding down Whitefish Mountain Resort when I just happened to notice something off to the side. It looked totally out of place so I stop to investigate. To my surprise it was a VSSL coffee cup buried in the snow. I was able to wedge it free from the snow. It was 9 degrees outside and it looked in perfect condition. I put my hand through the strap and continued my run to the bottom. When I got back to the base lodge I took the lid off and washed it out, as for there was frozen coffee inside. After cleaning and drying it off, it was in pristine condition. The lid is a game changer if I may say!! I took it the front counter for lost and found and hopefully the rightful owner gets it back. Maybe this will help someone on their decision on whether the mugs are worth it!! I give VSSL two thumbs up!! Awesome product!!

The cup is incredibly durable. It get bounced around in a vehicle box all day and with the lanyard I can clip it to the vehicle so it doesn't dissappear down the trail. The lid is incredibly secure and doesn't leak at all. The pour over works very well and makes a good cup of coffee. I do wish there was a closed lid and bottom to screw onto the pour over so it can be stored without the concern that coffee grounds will get allover everything.
From the material to the design, everything is amazing. Highly recommended for people who constantly go to adventures and love coffee.
This is the best travel mug I have ever owned due to the actually leak proof lid, nonslip silicone bottom, and carrying loop. Picked this combo up last month and have taken it camping, on road trips, and commuting to work on the subway; comfy to hold, store, and sip from and keeps drinks hot but not scalding which is my preference. Surprised by how helpful and handy the cord loop is for carrying. Still dialing in my pour over settings for the pour over attachment, as I really just prefer aeropress when traveling when it comes down to it, but I’ll hopefully get there eventually :) In my opinion the only thing they could possibly improve about the mug is where the threads are, so that the lid opening to sip through lined up with the natural hand hold position of the mug. But this is really splitting hairs as this mug is as close to perfect as I could hope for.
Perfect small travel tumbler! Works great on airlines - the exact right size not to break a bladder; small form factor fits inside my bag securely and without concerns about leaking; fits in any cupholder, and the rubberized footer ensures that it doesn’t move around and sets down softly on any surface without a “clang” sound and slippery enough to slide around. It took years to find an ideally suited air travel mug, this one is perfect.

Love the cup, wishing it came with the option of the flip top lid or the sip lid. I use this at my desk and don’t like having the flip top lid always in the way.
