Watch: mug, dripper and lid twist apart into a solo brew setup
Your whole pour-over setup, the size of one mug.
Best For: Solo travellers and commuters who want real pour-over without carrying a kit bag.
One twist, ready to brew - mug, dripper, filter and lid nest into a single 18 cm (6.9 in) unit
Real pour-over, no paper waste - stainless dripper with a reusable #1 mesh filter included
Stays hot in your hand - double-walled 10oz (296 ml) mug in 304 stainless, 80% recycled
Drink on the move - splash-proof BPA-free lid
Lighter than your water bottle - 354 g (12.5 oz) complete
Nothing rattles - dual threads lock the stack into one solid piece
*Brewing for two? The Nest Pour-Over Kit adds a second mug and a grinder garage.
Picture this: Solo sunrise mission. One pocket of your pack holds breakfast. The other holds the Nest. Twist, set the dripper, pour - a proper cup before the light gets good.
It's a mug that hides a brewery. The dripper and filter live inside the mug. The lid caps it all shut.
Made for parties of one. Hikers, solo campers, business travellers, and desk drinkers who want better than the office machine.
Forget the sad alternatives. Hotel kettle coffee. Petrol-station brew in a foam cup. Instant sachets shaken into lukewarm water.
Cleanup is a rinse. Stainless mesh filter means no soggy paper to pack out - rinse, shake, re-nest.
REAL QUESTIONS FROM REAL COFFEE DRINKERS
"What exactly is in this thing?" Four working parts: a double-walled 10oz mug, a double-walled stainless dripper, a reusable #1 mesh filter, and a splash-proof lid. They all nest into one unit.
"Is 10oz enough coffee?" 296 ml - a standard large cafe cup. For bigger pours, brew straight into a Rift Tumbler 16oz using the same dripper.
"Do I need paper filters?" No. The stainless mesh filter is reusable - it also lets the coffee's oils through, so the cup tastes fuller than paper-filtered.
"Will it leak in my bag?" The lid is splash-proof for drinking on the move, not sealed for tossing in a bag full of electronics. Pack it upright.
"What if something breaks?" VSSL backs it with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
"How do I clean it?" Hand wash. Rinse the filter, wipe the mug, re-nest. Done in a minute.

What a perfect compliment to my VSSL coffee grinder!Last year, we ordered the Java G25 grinders for our entire team, branded with our business logo. Now, having added the Nest pour-over, we’ve got the essential brewing system for all of our personal and family excursions.Even better, the pour-over is perfect for my morning cup of fresh ground and premium coffee in a simple, compact, durable, on-the-go mug. I love it.Great job to VSSL team for the versatile and practical solution to all of my mandatory coffee needs, regardless of the situation, I’m now covered.

Man I LOVE this thing, including the filter. Great quality product. I’m always rushing prep my coffee as I head out for work and this is so great for a fresh cup to start your day. Taking this camping will be incredible for those early mornings as well. I’m so glad I finally got one, can’t wait for my next purchase!
Nicole C.5/5Verified
Excited to try this item! But, wow, the cost of the packaging must really up the cost. I like the fact that you can also use paper filters.

I run a crew of Canadian combat vets out in the bush, we spend a few days a week in austere conditions. I don’t go anywhere without my VSSL, makes short work of my morning coffee, it’s rugged, and efficient. It makes doing our job more enjoyable, wish this existed back when we deployed.

High quality and well made double walled cup & filter kit. We bought this and the VSSL Java G25 manual coffee grinder. We had first received the VSSL 5-piece kit (2 cups w/ 1 filter unit) as a gift. We got this additional cup/filter kit so we could make 2 cups of coffee at the same time. The wire mesh filter works very well. We also use Melita #2 paper filters with this kit for faster clean-up.

I love the design. I love that there's no plastic where the coffee is brewed. I would have liked a cover that I could close especially because I had a very hard time unscrewing the upper half from the lower half of the set.

Amazing for travel! Would recommend.

A nice compact coffee brewing system that I will be bringing along in my future travels. The brewer is fast so grind pretty fine, medium nothing coarse. It comes with a clothe like filter but a size 2 paper can also be used.
Takejiro K.5/5Verified
The mug is a great size so you have a steady base when pouring the hot water in. It doesn't have a handle which makes it great to slide into a bag for travel. The added filter and lid is a great addition which to me makes it a great premium travel pour over set.
Michael V.5/5Verified
The reusable mesh filter is great and the entire unit is built well. The cup could be a bit bigger. I believe it is 8 ounces. Twelve ounces would be nice.

A perfect way for “my must” have Java, while backpacking!!!
Betsy S.5/5Verified
Bought it for a secret Santa gift, no I want one for myself.

the CONE. 1) The insulated cone (coupled with the insulated cup) really preserves heat while dripping/brewing (unlike plastic or ceramic cones - both of which lose heat very quickly while dripping/brewing), so by the time the coffee is ready it is still very hot; 2) the shape of the cone encourages A) a good bloom of the grounds so long as you go slow with the water, and B) a good drip in the right amount of time; 3) cone screws right on the cup (even though the instructions tell you not to screw on during brewing to encourage airflow (I still did … to preserve heat while brewing … and it was fine). What I don’1) The LID. It doesn’t seal completely, so it is only spill resistant not spill proof, and it allows heat to escape. 2) NO CERAMIC COATING inside cup. I ended up just using the cone and placing it on top of my ceramic lined Yeti mug so I could “fix” these issues. That said, the cup and lid that comes with this unit are still functional, just not ideal in my opinion. What I can’FILTER. I used small paper cone filters as I did not have access to running water and dish soap to clean a reusable filter.

Love this all in one set. Makes quick and easy work in the mornings for a quality cup of coffee. Impressed with the quality of products fo VSSL.

Came in very nice packaging and I look forward to using this for my kayak camping trips once the snow melts.
Eric S.5/5Verified
Great pour over for any occasion! Camping, traveling, even just at home. The built-in cup with lid is awesome and the reusable filter is wicked easy to clean! Get one!!!
Ryan G.5/5Verified
The nest pour over set is so easy and convenient to use. I really enjoy having the single serve set. I’m contemplating getting another pour over set.
Lynn B.5/5Verified
Product works exactly as advertised. Really happy I found this. No grounds in our coffee while camping is so satisfying. Highly recommend this item.
Jennifer R.5/5Verified
I have been through them all, from instant packs to a GSI insulated French press, and all of them had their limitations or downright failures. The Nest Pour Over is perfect! Completely self contained. Stainless mesh filter works great (do avoid fine grounds). Pour through takes about a minute. Insulated cup and lid work perfect. I am actually relieved to finally have a camp coffee set up that travels well and makes a great cup!
Richard C.5/5Verified
I love that its portable and I can take it with me to the office and brew a quality cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Its compact and portable and also I like that the filter is reusable. Also, for $50 its a great deal!
Dale R.5/5Verified
Makes an amazing cup of coffee. Very easy to use. Very compact and portable.
Janessa S.5/5Verified
I bought this for my husband for his birthday because we are avid campers and coffee drinkers. He now uses it to brew his daily cuppa, even when we are home! It makes a great cup of coffee and is so easy to use. The reusable mesh filter works incredibly well and is so easy to clean. The stackable design make storage so simple. And the cup itself stays hot for over an hour. What a great addition to our home!
M5/5Verified
Good overall, but I have two complaints:1) you can’t easily see how much water you’ve poured into it, leading to overfilling or spilling trying to take the pour over top off.2) the filter itself is great but you can’t clean it out while the grounds are still hot, making cleaning inconvenient and sometimes painful.

Perfect gear!
Maggie C.5/5Verified
Love it. Great drip option to my aeropress. So much that we have a ‘his and hers’ set.
Jay R.4/5Verified
Great quality, easy to use, stacks perfectly for storage or travel. Makes one 8 oz. cup of coffee. Only wish the cup was 10 ounces to have more room for cream/milk. I think it was too pricey, but I've tried others and this is the best one as far as functionality goes. So, I am glad I made the investment.
Ruby5/5Verified
This looks cool. Seems to be better made than others. One thing I would change is capacity. Maybe a larger one at 16oz. The price tho is a bit high. This should be more like 35$ the 16oz if made should be 45$ .. just saying, lower the price and get more buyers that are left with cheaper ones that are not made well. Recoup loss with special add ons for those that are picky enough to buy. Me I just want an easy to use brewer that can be on the go without all the hassle.
Vince5/5Verified
This is a really nice coffee tool for travel. It is a little pricy but well worth the quality for a good cup of coffee. It is travel size, but I would not use it for light weight backpacking. It is not a lightweight rig.
Rafe G.5/5Verified
Awesome. All in one coffee pour over is great for camping. Sturdy, looks nice, and easy to use.
Anthony T.5/5Verified
I love my VSSL. It fits in my backpack and my morning coffee tastes so good. I use it at home and work. I never want to use a coffee pot again. The reusable filter is a big bonus too
Brent H.5/5Verified
Love this pour over set! Brews perfectly in an attractive durable design. Very impressed
Nancy S.5/5Verified
Super convenient way to make a fresh hot cup of coffee just about anywhere.
John S.5/5Verified
For several years now I’ve been bringing a portable French press on vacation. I like to buy coffee that’s local to where we’re staying and try them out. This time I’ll be bringing the VSSL Nest. I’ve been using this at home for my morning coffee and really enjoying it. I highly recommended it.
Allan V.5/5Verified
I really like this brewer type cup. I wish I had bought two when they were on sale.
T.5/5Verified
It’s great I haven’t used it camping yet but I use it at weekends for my morning coffee. I like that it comes with the stainless steel filter so you don’t need to buy anything else, just the coffee..
Neil Q.5/5Verified
Great quality. Great results. Recommended.
Paul D.5/5Verified
I have used this coffee maker 5 times with ground coffee and fresh ground beans and it has not disappointed. I have a Breville Espresso machine that I love but I am glad that I will be able to take this when I travel. I do not like the Resort coffee or machines. Easy to use and clean. Great quality.
Renee S.5/5Verified
Amazing product, durable, functional and objectively beautiful. It has sincerely stepped up my backwoods coffee experience and I have ditched my French press that was a staple of my equipment for this and have not looked back since with zero regrets. On another topic, now that you have read this far, would you be interested in a well cared for French press?
