The included NL2150 21700 cell pops out and swaps in seconds. Carry a spare in your pocket, drop it in when the first one taps out, and keep moving.
Three battery formats, one flashlight. The included magazine adapter lets you run a single 18650 cell, or 2× CR123 / RCR123 cells, in the same body. If you already run 18650s in other lights, those work here too. And if you're building an emergency stockpile, primary CR123 cells sit on a shelf for around a decade and still deliver light when you need them.

The CREE XP-L2 V6 LED sits behind a smooth reflector tuned with Nitecore's Precision Digital Optics Technology (PDOT) and a crystal coating. The result is a clean white beam with useful spill and 202 metres of throw on full output. Bright enough to identify someone across a car park, tight enough to pick out detail at distance.
Non-PWM constant current circuit. Brightness holds steady at every level. No visible flicker at low output, no strobing-at-dim annoyance that some cheaper lights show. The eye reads it as a clean, continuous light source.

Metal side switch for everything else.
The metal side switch handles brightness cycling, STROBE, mode switching, and battery checks. Solid tactile click that registers through work gloves.
FOUR BRIGHTNESS LEVELS: ULTRALOW, LOW, MID, HIGH. Cycle through them with quick presses.
POWER INDICATOR: A blue ring under the side switch shows remaining battery and can display battery voltage to within 0.1 V. Useful when you're rotating cells between multiple lights and want to know which one is freshest.
MEMORY FUNCTION: In Daily Mode, the light wakes up at the brightness you last used. No cycling through modes to get back to where you were.
TWO USER MODES: Daily Mode (the default) gives all four brightness levels plus STROBE, BEACON, and SOS. Tactical Mode strips it down to four brightness levels and STROBE only, for a simpler cycle that excludes BEACON and SOS.

How long does it take to fully charge?
Around 4 hours from empty to full via USB-C with the included NL2150 5,000 mAh battery. Charging time will be shorter if you're topping up from a partial discharge, or if you swap in a smaller 18650 cell.
Can I use it with non-rechargeable batteries in an emergency?
Yes. The included 18650/CR123 magazine adapter accepts 2× CR123A primary cells, which have around a 10-year shelf life. That makes the MH12 V2 viable as part of an emergency stockpile, since the primaries can sit unused on a shelf for years and still deliver light when the grid is down. Performance and runtime will be different from the 21700, but the light will work.
What's the difference between Daily Mode and Tactical Mode?
Daily Mode (the factory default) gives you all four brightness levels plus STROBE, BEACON, and SOS. Tactical Mode strips it down to four brightness levels and STROBE only, for a simpler cycle that excludes BEACON and SOS. You switch between modes by clicking the tail switch while holding the side button.
