WHAT THE EDC23 GIVES YOU
The flat profile and 101g weight carry against your leg or under a belt without printing, so it stays on you through a full day instead of being left in a drawer.
The OLED reads out the live output and the exact time left at that level, so a fading battery is something you see coming rather than discover in the dark.
A half-press on the mode button jumps straight to the full 2,500-lumen Turbo and a 280-metre reach, ready the instant an ordinary night turns into a problem.
Stainless steel and carbon fibre replace the thin aluminium of most compacts, so it shrugs off pocket carry, a footwell or a 2-metre drop.
The built-in 1,500mAh cell holds more than most lights this size, giving up to 39 hours on Ultralow and a full shift at working levels.
A one-slide Rapid Lock and two lockout modes keep it dark in storage, then unlock for instant Turbo and Strobe the moment you need them.

Half the thickness, so it actually goes everywhere.
At 13.5mm thick the EDC23 is around half the width of a conventional compact light, and at 102.8mm long it is roughly 27 percent shorter too. It lies flat in a trouser pocket, sits clean under a duty belt, and rides a shirt placket without printing.
At 101g it carries like a folding knife rather than a torch, which is the difference between a light you take and a light you leave behind.

A real-time OLED readout, so you always know where you stand.
The multifunctional OLED shows the active brightness level and live lumen output, the battery voltage, the runtime remaining at the current setting, and the power left in the cell. One glance tells you whether you have ten minutes or ten hours before a top-up.
It also shows the lockout state, so you can confirm the light is safe before it goes in a pocket. The panel uses a thickened, shock-resistant design to take the daily knocks.

Built like a tool, not a gadget.
Stainless steel front and rear shells wrap a high-strength carbon-fibre reinforced frame, with an aluminium heat-dissipation plate down the centre. The sandwich stays rigid against compression, twisting and bending, and resists the scratches that come with pocket carry.
A PVD titanium coating keeps the finish looking sharp far longer than anodised aluminium would on a body this slim.
WHY THE EDC23 OVER A STANDARD POCKET LIGHT
Most pocket lights tell you nothing until they fade in your hand. The OLED shows live output and the exact runtime left, so a dying battery is never a mid-task surprise.
A 13.5mm profile sits flat where a 25mm tube bulges and rolls off a table. It carries every day because you stop noticing it, which is the whole point of an EDC light.
A steel and carbon-fibre sandwich with a PVD titanium finish resists scratches and stays rigid against twisting and bending, where a typical compact relies on thin aluminium and plastic.
Dual lockout, ATR thermal regulation and a Sensor Protection function keep it dark in storage and step power down before it can overheat against a pocket lining.
2,500 lumens and a 280-metre reach from a UHi 25 LED.
Twin NiteLab UHi 25 LEDs push 2,500 lumens on Turbo and throw a usable beam to 280 metres, which is a long reach for a light that hides in a shirt pocket. The beam runs clean and even, so faces, plates and detail read true.
Five output levels cover the work, from a 15-lumen Ultralow that runs 39 hours up to the full Turbo burst, with a momentary Strobe on the mode button for a fast deterrent.

A clean, accurate white from the NiteLab UHi 25.
The UHi 25 uses a 2.26mm ultra-mini emitting surface, which is how a light this thin still concentrates a 280-metre beam. A low 4.7 SDCM colour tolerance keeps the white consistent across the beam.
That accuracy matters when you are reading a label, checking skin colour on a patient, or matching a number plate, where a green or blue cast would slow you down.

M-TURBO dual two-stage controls, worked by feel.
Two two-stage tactical buttons sit under the thumb. On the power button a half-press steps through brightness, a half-press and hold gives momentary low light, and a full press is on and off.
The mode button puts a half-press straight to Turbo and a full press straight to Strobe, so maximum output and the strobe are one positive press away in a tense moment.

Preset the brightness before you switch on.
Half-press the power button to set the level before the light is even on, so it comes up at exactly the output the moment calls for. A soft glow to check a map without killing your night vision, or full power the instant a search starts.
The custom setting also keeps a harsh glare off close work during everyday use.

Rapid Lock, lock or unlock in one slide.
A mini slide switch sized to the slim body locks and unlocks the light in a single motion, with no twist or button combination to remember. Slide it to lock for safe carry, slide it back for instant response when a moment matters.
The OLED confirms the lock state, so you are never left guessing whether the light is ready or locked out.

Two lockout modes for carry or storage.
Semi Lock disables the power button while keeping Turbo and Strobe live on the mode button, so the light is safe against accidental presses yet still ready for instant use between rounds.
Full Lock disables both buttons for transport and long-term storage, so the light never fires by accident in a bag and never drains itself before you need it.

1,500mAh built in, for up to 39 hours.
A built-in 1,500mAh Li-ion cell holds more capacity than most lights this size, which is how the EDC23 reaches 39 hours on Ultralow and still serves a full shift at working levels.
USB-C charging tops it from empty to full in about 1 hour 30 minutes from a 5V/2A source, from the same charger and power bank your phone uses, so a quick charge between calls keeps it ready.

Stays comfortable in the hand under load.
An Advanced Temperature Regulation module and a semi-embedded aluminium heat plate ease output back as the body warms during long high-output use, so the EDC23 stays comfortable to hold even after a long run on High.
A Sensor Protection function watches the front of the light. If it switches to High while pressed against fabric or a pocket lining, output steps down on its own to prevent overheating where you cannot see it.

Carry it the way you work.
A large lanyard hole takes 4mm 550 paracord for a wrist loop or a kit-bead attachment, and the detachable pocket clip rides flush so the light sits low and quick to draw.
Clip it inside a pocket, on a vest or to a pack strap, and it stays put until you reach for it.

Ready for dust, rain and drops.
The EDC23 is rated IP54 against dust and splashing water and survives a 2-metre drop onto a hard floor, so a sudden shower or a knock off a bench is a non-event.
It is sealed for everyday weather rather than submersion, which is exactly the protection an EDC light needs day to day.
WHO CARRIES THE EDC23
A flat body that actually disappears in a pocket, an OLED that shows what's left, and 2,500 lumens when an ordinary night needs more.
Slim under a duty belt, Turbo and Strobe one press away, and dual lockout for safe carry between rounds.
Clean white light for assessment, low levels that do not blind a patient, and a runtime readout you can trust on a call.
IP54 sealed and 2-metre impact for the trail or the trip, up to 39 hours on low, and USB-C top-ups from any power bank.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
It is built for charge-then-carry rather than running on the cable. Plug it into the USB-C port to refill the built-in 1,500mAh battery, which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes on a 5V/2A source, then unplug and head out. A quick top-up from a power bank between uses keeps it ready.
The screen calculates the time remaining from the current battery level and the brightness you are running, and updates as you change levels, so it reflects your real usage rather than a fixed estimate. The output figures it works from are measured to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, and actual runtime shifts a little with ambient temperature.
Two systems can ease output back. ATR lowers it as the body warms during long high-output use and restores it as the light cools. Sensor Protection steps it down if the front is pressed against fabric on High, to prevent overheating in a pocket. Clear the obstruction or let it cool and full output returns.
